Basic Safety Regulations

The General Police Department advise people on preventive measures to be taken into account when going on holiday or being inside the house.
 

The usual :

• Do not open the door to strangers and always look through the peephole before opening the door.
• When entering or leaving the garage make sure that nobody comes in while the door is open.
• Do not leave a lot of money, jewelry or other valuables at home.
• Please use as many available security measures as possible.

When we go on holiday :

 Home :

• Make sure all doors and windows are locked.
• Do not lower the blinds completely .
• Do not leave money or valuables .
• Make a detailed list of cameras, videos and other devices with serial numbers for easy identification.
• Do not disconnect the doorbell. It is an unmistakable sign of absence.

In the neighbourhood:

• Do not make your absence noticeable.
• Tell your location only to those who are more familiar to you.
• Leave your keys with a trusted person and ask him/her to make regular visits to collect your mail from the mailbox.
